Peggy Agar Obama Sweetie - Peggy Agar was called "sweetie" by Barack Obama as he dodged the question from Peggy Agar about how he planned to help American auto workers. Apparently, Obama couldn't think of an answer quick enough so he put off Peggy Agar with the comment, "hold on one second, sweetie."

Obama later apologized to Peggy Agar for calling her, "sweetie," but Peggy Agar refers to herself as "sweetie" in this video. Obama never did answer Peggy Agar's question, although Peggy Agar's question certainly deserved an answer.

As for the question about how to help American auto workers, maybe Obama might have suggested that the auto manufacturers develop car designs that people actually want to BUY. With gas prices hovering at around four dollars per gallon, it might be time for American auto manufacturers to begin to think about developing some small, fuel-efficient hatchbacks instead of huge, clumsy cars and gas-guzzling SUV's...just a thought.

A sure way to help the US Auto Workers would be to build cars that consumers WANT.;) Focus on quality and fuel-efficiency and concentrate on building a car that offers solid value and incredible fuel economy. Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door.;) If you sell more cars, your workers keep their jobs. It isn't rocket science...design better cars, the rest will take care of itself. American auto makers are too slow to respond to changes in the marketplace. It might be smart to develop car platforms that are flexible and can easily be adapted to changes in consumer sentiment. Oh wait...this all makes too much sense...nevermind, sweetie.

One thing we have to remember is that Peggy Agar was asking this question of a man, running for President of the United States who thinks that there are at LEAST 57 United States.;) How can we expect Barack Obama to come up with a viable answer to a legitimate question if he can't even remember how many stars are on the American flag?

The Tato Nano Car - The Tato Nano Uproar - Tato Nano Video

The Tato Nano Car will bring affordable transportation to many who can not afford a car. This has many environmentalists in an uproar. The mistake we make is that we always try to use economics as a means of control. All this does is force hardship upon those who already have enough difficulties in life.

Certainly the Tato Nano is more earth-friendly than an SUV. The pollution problem could be solved in a very-short time by implementing a speed limit of 30 miles per hour. But that will never be accepted because that will force EVERYONE to change their lifestyle and not just those who can barely afford a Tato Nano.;)

The unveiling of the Tato Nano, the new car that costs about $2,500. The car is built in India and will bring affordable transportation to the masses.

The fact that the Tato Nano will allow many families to afford a car in the highly-populated countries has environmentalists in an uproar. Sadly, we rely upon economics to force the poor to conserver energy by doing without basic transportation so that those who can afford cars can drive fast.;)

If everyone drove a Tato Nano and all the nations of the world agreed to set the speed limit to 30 miles per hour there would be a lot less pollution.;) I imagine that everyone freaks out when they think of a 30 mile per hour speed limit, but believe me people would eventually adapt. They would move closer to their work, plan their trips so they could maximize efficiency and in the end their lives would be essentially the same.

Well, not entirely the same...far fewer would die in auto accidents, there would be less polution and global warming would slow or disappear. But this makes too much sense for it to ever actually be implemented.:D

Who is Nancy Pelosi - Nancy Pelosi Gas Mileage in Cars

Who is Nancy Pelosi? - Nancy Pelosi Pressing to Boost Gas Mileage in Cars

Who is Nancy Pelosi?

If you havn't heard of Nancy Pelosi, you soon will. Nancy Pelosi is the first Italian-American Speaker of the House and recently is pushing a bill that will have a huge impact upon the American economy. Nancy Pelosi is a highly-effective politician and perhaps soon to be the sweeping hand of change.

In an article on CNNpolitics.com, they discussed the latest bill which will call for "an increase in automobile fuel efficiency to an average of 35 miles per gallon by 2020."

Even as small change in the EPA requirement for the gas mileage in cars has a huge impact upon the nation's economy. The United States can't go on forever borrowing money to finance our huge appetite for foreign oil. To think that Americans will decide to conserve energy on their own initiative is ridiculous. The only thing that will force the United States to conserve is to raise prices for fuel or to imposse a federal mandate requiring an increase in the gas mileage in cars.

Nancy Pelosi is an agent of change and I anticipate that she will go further to legislate sweeping change that will effect every American...stay posted.
