Typographical Art

I am going to keep you in suspense a while longer about the "holy grail of name generators" in order to include some artwork. I love typographical art and I needed a break from writing, so I decided to include this image. You are probably wondering what purpose is serves and a host of other questions probably come to mind so I ask you to consult--The Clever Cynic Art FAQs:

1. What purpose does it serve?

Answer: It has no purpose...it is merely to admire.

2. Does it relate to the article?

Answer: Usually not.

3. Why is it here?

Answer: Because I like it.

Name generators for those who don't know when to quit

Anyone normal would had had the sense to stop with the name generator thing once they were happy with the name for their blog. No one has ever confused me with someone normal. So, of course, I had to do a search to see what other name generators were out there. You can find some of them here : http://dir.yahoo.com/Entertainment/Humor/Names/Name_Generators/
Some of you will be happy I am sure to learn that you can generate the following names for yourself if you can't think of one of your own:

1. Prison Bitch Name--(I passed on this one but if that's your thing feel free).

2. Hobbit Name--(it will actually "reveal" your Hobbit Name ooohh the suspense is killing me........oh nice, The Clever Cynic's Hobbit name is, "Bulbo Proudneck of Tuckborough.")

3. Evangelist Name--(The Clever Cynic is in Evangelistic form: "Reverand Billy "Bo" Ponziskeim"...hmm...do any of you feel saved yet?).

There are other name generators there too--so knock yourself out.

Well you would think I had had enough by now.......but no.......sigh.....so I did another search and found the holy grail of name generators..........

Name Your Blog Part 1

I was still working on naming my blog and had had some luck with a band generator program (see prior post) so I decided to do a search for a different band name generator. I found "Band Name Maker." You can find it here: http://www.bandnamemaker.com/generator/. It randomly generates a list of eight possible names that work ok for blogs...not just bands. I rejected, "Moody Avocado and the Vinyl Sweat" and kept regenerating for a while. (by a while...I mean TOO LONG). Finally, it generated, "The Clover Cynic." and with some rearrangment (meaning I swapped out the "o" for an "e" .... The Clever Cynic was born.

And........I never know WHEN TO STOP.....sigh... I searched for other types of name generators ( I am doomed once I get on a kick) as you will see in the posts tomorrow). If you are guessing this is going to turn ugly you are correct...

Name Your Blog part 2

If you don't have any luck there or can't workout a name that isn't already taken (or you simply can't think), try: Fibbers band name creator: You can find it here: (http://www.fibbers.co.uk/online/bands/bnc.cfm). It is really designed to help someone to name a band; however, if you are patient you can spin something that creates a mind warp that leads you to a blog name. It is actually a slot-machine that displays words that combine to make band names. I had to reject "Distressed Naked Hippies," and keep rolling for a while but I finally got some ideas...but they were all taken...sigh.

The Way My Mind Works

For some reason every experience I have, every movie I see, every thing that I write and every story that I tell reminds me of something that I have experienced. That is the structure I will use as I write "The Clever Cynic." Each post somehow leads my thoughts to something else. That "something else" will always be the topic of the next post...

The Word of the Day is, "Enigma"

WordReference.com defines the word "enigma" as:

"something that baffles understanding and cannot be explained; "how it got out is a mystery"; "it remains one of nature's secrets"

The Clever Cynic is an enigma...and this is where he shares the inner workings of his mind. From time to time there will probably be clues that The Clever Reader will pick up on that will shed light on his identity. (In case anyone cares.)
