In an article on Yahoo News, I learned that the book that the mother of Britney Spears and a now pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears was writing about parenting skills was "delayed indefinately."
My guess is that they are waiting until Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears mom actually acquires some parenting skills or at least has met a decent parent. I can't imagine that the publisher thought that she was a skillful parent to Britney Spears, making her a potential rolemodel to millions.
I can't fathom that they thought that Britney Spears mother was such an expert on parenting and then let a little thing like her 16 year-old daughter Jamie Lynn Spears being three-months pregnant by her 19 year-old boyfriend Casey Aldridge influence their decision. Maybe they were thinking that it would be the anti-parenting book. Parents read the book and then use the information inside as things to avoid doing while parenting. Maybe the publisher finally got wise because Jamie Lynn Spears dropped the news on Thanksgiving. Apparently, good parents teach their children not to ruin holidays...guess that was it.
I'll let you know if I hear that Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears' mom gets the go ahead on the book...but I have a feeling it will be a long wait.
