The Simple Life started off well enough this season. In the "Big Primpin" episode, the fitness director who was hosting that week's camp totally stole the show. She had to be one of the most gorgeous women I have ever seen and made Paris and Nicole look like stale campers.
The next episode: "Pageant Girls Just Want to Have Fun" reminded me that an infectious disease is spreading across America. We pay huge attention to health problems and diseases abroad, yet we ignore one of the most tragic illnesses sweeping across our country. Yes, I am talking about beauty pageants for kids and their equally-sickening sidekick--beauty pageant schools.
Mothers all over this country are parading their kids around painted like mini-streetwalkers sporting dubious "talents" that are little more than stupid pet tricks and everyone just ignores the problem. Maybe if we ignore them alltogether they will stop this sick nightmare...we can only hope.
