A Michigan woman was killed when a spotted eagle ray jumped into the air ahead of the boat she was riding in at a speed of 25 miles per hour north of Key West. Strangely, it was not the poisonous barb of the spotted eagle ray that killed the woman, it was the force of the impact with the eagle ray that weighed about 500 pounds.
