I am not sure who was more obnoxious tonight, Dick or Daniele. They were both so full of themselves that is was hard to say. Irregardless, Evel Dick managed to win the Power of Veto with a stunning finish at croquet, edging out Dustin at the very end, following a nasty preliminary round that involved downing shots of blended nastiness like broccoli, steak and Worcester sauce. He then chose to use the power of veto to save his daughter Daniele. This was a noble move at face value, but I remain unimpressed by anything Evel Dick does inside the house. He is an average strategist at best and he is just plain annoying. If he dodges the bullet this week it is only due to the whim and whimsy of the American Public.
Daniele in an emotional display, confronted the other houseguests in the HOH room to voice a complaint that she is being victimized by her forced-familial association with Daddy Dick. The houseguest denied that she was disliked because of Dick's obnoxious behavior and claimed that they merely felt that she hadn't invested much time in getting to know them because she was at first always in the company of Nick and later always together with Daddy Dick.
The house had given Eric the task of getting Dustin nominated and he did manage to convince Dustin and Jessica to go along with the plan. Dustin is feeling a bit overconfident and apparently has never watched the show in past seasons or he would know that more often than not, the pawn goes home.;) Should Dustin go home, his blunder might rival or surpass that of Marsalis when he failed to use the power of veto to save himself.
Overconfidence is never good, and least of all in the Big Brother house, so watch out Dustin. Dick will get Daniele's vote, which she will pass of to the others as necessary to keep the peace in the real world after the game despite her emotional plea tonight that she shouldn't be associated with Daddy's displays..;) He will also get Zach's and Jen's and I am willing to bet America will also tell Eric to vote to evict Dustin. That leaves Jessica, Dustin, Amber and Jameka on the other side, but Jessica can only vote in the event of a tie. Oh, Oh, Dustin, the numbers don't look so good.;) I suppose that Eric could decide to "fail" at the attempt to evict Dustin and that would be the SMARTEST move he could make. He will need that full alliance to edge out the Evel Dick group since Jameka can not compete for HOH and Amber is pretty much useless, unless you need some one who is an emotional- mess, then she seems to step right up to the plate and bat it out of the park.;)
Thanks to Eric's American Public imposed silent treatment, Jessica is beginning to doubt her new-found alliance and I suspect that explains her choice to nominate Dustin. Tonight, in some BAFFLING move on the part of the American public, they gave Eric the assignment to give Jessica the silent treatment. This is the same America that wanted Eric to take Jessica to the final two. Maybe I am missing something here, but the silent treatment only breeds suspicion and if America wants Eric and Jessica in the final two this is perhaps a bigger blunder than Marsalis's famous idiocy.
Congrats Marsalis, the American Public might have just done something even more stupid than you did and you will FINALLY get redemption.
I have a feeling Dustin's days may be numbered--if so, the odds that Eric will sit next to Jessica in the final two are very-slim.
There you go...way more than you could possible want to know about my take on Big Brother 8...
